Location: Washington D.C. area ideal location- Remote. ~50% Travel

Your Impact:
As Axon’s Federal Sales Account Executive, you will be responsible for assisting with the development and execution of the go-to-market strategy, solution generation, and sale of Axon’s less-lethal and software & sensors solutions. We are looking for an experienced sales professional that will support our Federally Recognized Tribal Nations module within our Federal Team.

This role reports to the Director of Federal Civilian Sales

What You Do:

  • Develop business strategies to capture the qualified opportunities
  • Execute the strategy – including but not limited to – customer engagement and opportunity shaping, execution of bids and proposals, demos and or presentations, etc.
  • Ultimately ensuring the successful win with the customer
  • Partner with Axon’s Federal team to help establish and execute the customer contact plan, strengthen customer relationships, determine key decision makers, and to capture pertinent customer needs
  • Help develop and execute the Federal market’s short, mid, and long-term strategies
  • Establish and drive marketing campaign plans for the Tribal market with messaging and themes for tradeshows, conferences, publications, etc.
  • Provide accurate and timely long-term forecasting of business

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with selling direct and into government contract vehicles
  • Experience using Salesforce as your client relationship management tool
  • Experience with Federal & State grants including knowledge of relevant grant programs, grant writing process and grant lifecycle
  • Experience working with and understanding of federal government agencies and customers (previous work with Federally Recognized Tribal Nations is a plus)
  • Extensive knowledge of acquisition regulations and government budgeting processes
  • Clear, concise, and direct communication skills briefing senior business executives and customers
  • Proven ability to provide accurate long-range forecasting of revenues, orders, and margins for your book of business

The Pay: The compensation for this role is made up of uncapped commissions and a starting base pay between USD $82,700 in the lowest geographic market and USD $160,200 in the highest geographic market. On average, the national commissions target for this role is USD $300,000.0The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: experience, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and geographic market demands and often a combination of all these factors.
