Job description

Scope of Work Overview:
The Higher Education Partnership Development contractor will play a key role in expanding Tilting Futures’ reach by developing and executing a strategic plan for building partnerships with higher education institutions. This contract role is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and securing partnerships with colleges and universities that align with our mission and earned revenue goals. This individual will focus on building a robust pipeline of leads, stewarding and developing strong relationships with prospective partners, and managing the contract process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development & Execution:
    • Work with the Chief Program Officer (CPO) and CEO to develop and implement a comprehensive partnership strategy for engaging higher education institutions.
    • Monitor market trends and adapt strategies to meet the evolving needs of the higher education sector.
  • Lead Generation & Pipeline Development:
    • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified higher education leads interested in partnering with Tilting Futures and hit lead generations targets.
    • Leverage data and analytics to drive targeted outreach efforts and prioritize high-potential leads.
    • Identify prospective partner’s key stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Support Relationship Building & Partnership Cultivation:
    • Set up and prepare CPO and CEO for key higher education stakeholder meetings.
    • Develop tailored presentations and proposals that showcase the value of Tilting Futures’ programs for students and institutions.
    • Create stewardship plans for the organization to establish and cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with higher education partners. 
  • Support Sales & Contract Management:
    • Support contract negotiation to ensure agreements meet the needs of both Tilting Futures and its partners.
    • Provide executive support to CPO and CEO to meet or exceed partnership revenue targets by converting leads into signed contracts.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless contract execution and program delivery.
    • Keep CPO and CEO regularly updated with weekly dashboards, partnership status changes and priorities for the week. 

Details of the Contract 

  • Contract will be 6 months starting March 3, 2024. 
  • Approximately 15-20 hours per week.
  • Compensation $9,000 -$12,000 per month based on experience and deliverables of finalized contract.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in partnership development, sales, or business development, particularly in the education or non-profit sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and closing partnerships with higher education institutions.
  • Strong understanding of the higher education landscape, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for Tilting Futures’ mission and a commitment to equipping young changemakers.
