Job description

Our goal is to significantly improve the healthcare sector in a completely new way: a software platform that transforms the daily lives of medical practices and patients.

Our vision is a Software as a Service to help digitalize the healthcare industry. We developed AlfaDocs, the first 100%, all in-one cloud platform for Patient Relationship & Practice Management.

Full Time: Monday - Friday | 09:00 - 18:00 | 1-hour lunch break

Working Mode: Full remote

In your role, you will be responsible for:

  • Lead the development of responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using React.js, ensuring a seamless experience across all devices.
  • Collaborate with designers and product managers to translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, performant code.
  • Implement and maintain reusable components and front-end libraries, ensuring consistency and maintainability.
  • Contribute to backend development using Symfony (PHP), focusing on API development, database interactions, and server-side logic.
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests for both frontend and backend code to ensure application robustness and reliability.
  • Conduct code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, acting as a key member of the development team.
  • Participate in architectural discussions, offering insights from a frontend and full-stack perspective.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in frontend and full-stack development, evaluating their potential impact on our products.
  • Proactively suggest and implement improvements to the user interface, performance, and overall user experience.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, bringing creativity, enthusiasm, and a sense of humor to your work.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 6 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
  • React.js: Proficient in React.js with extensive experience in building responsive and dynamic user interfaces.
  • Frontend Skills: Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, including ES6+ syntax and modern development practices.
  • Build Tools: Experience with frontend build tools and bundlers (e.g., Webpack, Babel) and version control systems like Git.
  • Backend Skills: Solid experience with modern PHP frameworks (e.g., Symfony), focusing on API development, database interactions, and server-side logic.
  • Testing: Experience with unit and integration testing for both frontend and backend code.
  • Testing Frameworks: Familiarity with tools like Jest, Mocha, and PHPUnit.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to critically assess user interactions and interface design.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience in cross-functional teams.
  • Security: Awareness of security best practices for frontend and backend development, particularly when handling sensitive healthcare data.

The selection process:

    • 1st step - Interview with Talent Acquisition (30 min)
    • 2nd step - Take-home Assessment to be discussed in the following step (up to 60 min)
    • 3rd step - Interview with Head of Technology (60 min)
    • 4th step - Interview with CEO & CPO (60 min)

Onboarding and Training: During the onboarding phase at AlfaDocs, you will always have a colleague ready to support you and responsible for your training. Unless otherwise specified, an onboarding period of 1 week is scheduled at our Munich office, where you will have the pleasure of meeting our entire team and visit the city!
