What’s in it for you?
The Talent Sourcer is responsible for proactively identifying and engaging potential candidates for open positions within the organization. This role involves using various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, databases, networking events, and referrals to build a strong pipeline of qualified candidates. The Talent Sourcer works closely with recruiters and hiring managers to understand job requirements and ensure a steady flow of top talent.
Hours: This is a contract role for 30 hours a week, 6 hours a day.
As a Talent Sourcer, you will serve in the following areas:
Candidate Sourcing: Use a variety of platforms (LinkedIn, job boards, social media, internal databases, and networking) to find potential candidates for open roles.
Screening & Qualifying Candidates: Review resumes, conduct initial phone interviews, and assess candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit before passing qualified candidates to recruiters.
Database Management: Maintain an organized and up-to-date candidate database, ensuring accurate records of sourced candidates and interactions.
Collaboration with Hiring Teams: Work closely with hiring managers and recruiters to understand role requirements, team needs, and organizational culture.
Market Research: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, talent market conditions, and competitive intelligence to adjust sourcing strategies accordingly.
Employer Branding: Promote the company’s values, culture, and job opportunities through effective communication and engagement with candidates.
Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a pipeline of candidates for current and future hiring needs.
Reporting and Analytics: Track and report on sourcing metrics, such as candidate response rates, conversion rates, and the effectiveness of sourcing strategies.
The successful candidate will possess:
Proven experience as a Talent Sourcer, Recruiter, or similar role in recruiting or talent acquisition.
Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques and recruiting tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, Boolean search, etc.).
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to engage and influence candidates.
Ability to assess candidates’ qualifications and match them with job requirements.
Proficient in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and CRM tools.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while managing multiple priorities.
Problem-solving abilities and a creative approach to sourcing hard-to-find candidates.
Knowledge of employment laws and regulations as it relates to recruitment.
A passionate and proactive approach to finding top talent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in sourcing for the construction industry.
Familiarity with HR software or tools like Lever, Linkedin, Indeed, and Ziprecruiter.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
