What’s unique about this role?

The Associate Corporate Counsel is responsible for a variety of duties within the Legal organization. This role assists in protecting an organization's legal interest and maintaining its operations within the scope established by law. Identifies and analyzes legal issues, drafts key documents, presents clear recommendations to management, and assures legal compliance.

What will this person do?

• Support the department to streamline the contracting process, including owning all aspects of assigned contracts through the contract lifecycle
• Design, develop, and implement process and workflow to optimize support of the company’s growth and risk management
• Negotiate, draft, and review contracts, agreements, memos and other documents
• Ensure the organization’s business practices comply with applicable laws and regulations
• Research areas of law as needed, for example, new product areas that the business might look to enter, intellectual property issues, and software licensing issues
• Represent the Legal Department in office-wide initiatives when required
• Advise and support various departments across the company, including sales, marketing, finance, engineering and production on legal issues and business risks, as well as broader company policies
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Working knowledge of contracts, conflicts of interest, and compliance
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness and flexibility to develop and learn new areas of expertise as necessary for changing business needs
• 3-5 years legal experience
• JD from an accredited law school
• Current member in good standing of at least one state bar

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Duties are performed in a typical office environment while at a desk or computer table.   Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material, in a quiet and professional setting.
• Duties may require occasionally working outside normal business hours (evenings and weekends).

As required by applicable pay transparency laws, Lighthouse complies with compensation disclosure requirements for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be tailored to be lower or higher in different talent markets.

The expected pay for this role will range from $101,600 to $125,000 per year.  This role will be eligible to participate in an annual bonus or incentive program.
