Position: Business Intelligence/Business Analyst  
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence/Business Analyst with a focus on documenting processes and requirements, ensuring proper documentation within the area, and engaging in process improvement efforts. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze, refine, and document business processes, aligning them with business strategies and objectives. Your expertise in business intelligence tools and methodologies will help our organization maintain a clear understanding of operational efficiencies and identify areas for enhancement.


Responsibilities:

  • Document, design, and analyze business processes in alignment with business intelligence objectives, ensuring a high level of process documentation accuracy and completeness.
  • Capture and define business requirements for new BI solutions or enhancements to existing ones, in accordance with stakeholders' needs and organizational growth initiatives.
  • Take ownership of the documentation so that it can be utilized effectively for business decision-making and interface with technical teams for process implementation.
  • Facilitate and attend workshops with key stakeholders to validate business processes and requirements, champion continuous improvement, and support change management activities.
  • Collaborate actively with the Analytics engineering team for the development and optimization of BI tools, dashboards, and reports, ensuring data integrity and alignment with business needs.
  • Advocate for and ensure adoption of best practices for documentation, data governance, and process management within the BI domain.
  • Provide thorough and regular communication to stakeholders and management about project status, highlighting issues, and offering insightful recommendations.
  • Design and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes to validate business solutions and ensure they meet requirements and quality standards.
  • Ensure quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) measures are integrated into the BI processes to maintain high standards and data accuracy.
  • Document and maintain comprehensive records of dashboards, including design specifications, data sources, and user requirements, ensuring clear and accessible documentation for stakeholders.


Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
  • 3+ years of business analysis experience with a strong emphasis on business intelligence, documentation, and process improvement.
  • Familiarity with Python and R for data analysis and process automation is a nice to have.
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar certification is preferred.

Skills/Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Familiarity in business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau or Spotfire) and process mapping applications.
  • Proficiency in gathering and analyzing business needs and requirements.
  • Proven ability to document business processes, write clear and comprehensive reports, and communicate effectively with both business and technical teams.
  • A deep understanding of end-to-end business processes, from initial concept to final implementation and evaluation.
  • Familiarity with SQL and experience with database technologies.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels within the organization and facilitate workshops effectively.
