Senior Technical Accountant- REMOTE

The Senior Technical Accountant will work closely with various Business Partners and Finance team members to provide technical analysis and documentation keeping the companies in compliance with US GAAP.

Overview of Responsibilities

• Research and implement new technical guidance to maintain compliance with US GAAP, including documentation via technical memos.
• Prepare quarterly consolidation, including consolidating and eliminating entries.
• Monitor compliance with financial covenants related to bank loan. Prepare quarterly debt compliance calculations and certifications.
• Review new revenue contracts to ensure compliance with US GAAP revenue recognition policy.
• Review new leases for proper application of US GAAP.
• Lead in analysis of accounting for non-routine transactions.
• Coordinate monthly close process, including analyzing balance sheet accounts, reconciling accounts and analyzing variances.
• Responsible for performing special projects to improve process efficiency and performance.
• Cross train as back-up for other staff in the case of emergencies.

• Assist with other projects as assigned.

Additional Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 4 – 6 years of total accounting experience, including 2+ years in public accounting.
• Active CPA license.
• Understanding of accounting processes, procedure and internal controls.
• Strong problem-solving skills, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis.

• Computer literacy with advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP.

• Project Management experience. 
• Detail oriented, with strong organization and time management skills. 
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively.
• Ability to perform the required work at the designated Warner Pacific office or remotely with hours generally 8am to 5pm.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time, lift a minimum of 5 pounds, file, stand, bend, reach and pull.

Compensation

• Annual Salary Range*: $ 97,200- $162,000 per year
• Actual compensation may vary from posting based on work experience, education, and/or skill level.
