Job Summary:
We seek an experienced and independent HR Business Partner (HRBP) Consultant to support 2-3 clients. In this role, you will be a strategic partner, offering guidance on HR best practices, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and other HR functions. The role requires a high level of autonomy, professionalism, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
This is a remote position with occasional onsite meetings in Los Angeles and sounding areas- must be local.
A personal computer is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary HR contact for assigned clients, providing expert advice on HR policies, compliance, and best practices.
• Partner with business leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
• Support clients with employee relations matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
• Provide guidance on HR compliance with California and federal labor laws.
• Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
• Support talent management initiatives, including recruitment strategies and retention efforts.
• Attend client meetings (virtually and onsite, as needed) to provide strategic HR support.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure HR data integrity across client accounts.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of HRBP preferably in a consulting or multi-client environment.
• Strong knowledge of California and federal labor laws.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple client relationships.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience handling sensitive employee relations matters.
• Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
Additional Details:
• Hours: 30 hours per week (hourly rate based on experience).
• Location: Remote, with occasional onsite support in Los Angeles, CA.
• Equipment: Personal computer required.
