General Description:

The Manager, Global Contracts will be an integral part of the Global Commercial Strategy & Operations Team in Global Business Operations and Planning. Viewed as a key liaison and administrator to the business, the individual will be expected to proactively build relationships across various functions, including Legal, Procurement, Finance and Commercial, and levels across the organization to ensure effective stakeholder management and coordination of efforts.

Essential Functions of the job:

As a member of the Global Business Operations and Planning, the Manager, Global Contracts will work closely with business partners throughout the US and Global Commercial team to ensure the appropriate organization and maintenance of BeiGene contracts and records. The Manager, Global Contracts will also draft agreements and provide operational support from end-to end for all Commercial agreements. This includes helping train and educate internal stakeholders on contracting processes and systems that will aid BeiGene in effectively managing the full contracting lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • First point of contracts triaging and assessment.
  • Assisting with system administration of our contracts management system.
  • Managing, organizing, and storing electronic versions of all contracts and other documents in BeiGene’s contract management and other filing systems.
  • Entering key contract information into the contract management system.
  • Retrieving and providing copies of contracts and other documents upon request.
  • Ensuring that contracts are executed properly and uploaded in a timely manner to BeiGene’s contract management system.
  • Drafting and reviewing all Global Commercial agreements, including Confidential Disclosure agreements, Sponsorship agreements, Vendor agreements, Statements of Work, and contract amendments.
  • Collaborating with other departments to coordinate contract review and facilitate the end-to-end process.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and judgment in discussing business and legal concerns, and engaging resources of other departments.
  • Identify, analyze, research, and resolve business process issues and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Logical reasoning skills to think through alternate solutions and consequences.
  • Time management, including ability to organize and prioritize work to meet needs of organization.
  • Keen attention to details and demonstrated ability to multi-task.
  • Provide expertise to Business Owners and other internal stakeholders on options and recommend best approaches; recognize potentially problematic contract terms before engaging the legal department and escalate those terms to the appropriate parties.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS with 5 plus years of professional contract administration or equivalent experience, preferable at a pharmaceutical or biotech company.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Experience with contract management software, preferably Agiloft.
  • Experience organizing and maintaining a broad variety of contract types in different countries.
  • Ability to handle confidential and proprietary information using excellent discretion and judgment.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work both independently and as a team player.
  • Ability to be flexible and willing to accept new responsibilities in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
  • Biotech/pharmaceutical project/process management experience is strongly preferred.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor of Arts / Science is required.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in contracts software, the Microsoft suite of tools including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Smartsheet and Excel;

Salary Range: $110,200.00 - $150,200.00 annually

Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process.  Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
