Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for undertaking all production accounting activities, including preparing, reviewing, and analysing financial statements and taxation requirements and delivering associated quality, professional accounting outcomes.

Job Description:
  • Organize and update financial records as needed (digital) for tax purposes
  • Deliver operating efficiencies through Xero and business systems
  • Responsible for tracking and following up on accounts receivable
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare management accounts
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Australian tax compliance
  • Preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS), Installment Activity Statements (IAS) & client payroll tax reports
  • General bookkeeping procedures and other ad hoc tasks as required
  • Stay informed on industry developments and changes in regulations


Requirements
Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or any relevant field; CPA or any relevant certification preferred
  • 3+ years' experience in general accounting and taxation or similar role in the Australian accounting industry
  • Strong knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices
  • Demonstrable knowledge of preparing financial statements of companies, trusts, partnerships
  • High competence in preparing and finalising company, trust & partnership tax returns
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and various accounting software packages – 360, Xero, Xero Tax
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and accounting administration skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal English business communication skills

  • Work Schedule: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (AEDT) | 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (PH Time)
