PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Hiring salary for this position is $24.20 - $30.24 hourly.
This is classified as VHBE (Variable Hour Benefit Eligible), where the selected candidate will work an average of up to 40 hours per week. The selected candidate will be eligible to elect Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits as well as accrue paid time off and receive 11 paid holidays.

OVERVIEW OF POSITION / DEPARTMENT
Under the direction of the Manager of Compensation and Classification in Human Resources, the Compensation and Classification Technician assists with the City’s Compensation and Classification processes. This position will be responsible for providing customer service for the Human Resources Compensation and Classification team to department managers, employees, and the City as a whole by answering common compensation requests via the compensation email, intake all other requests, processing employee and position changes in Workday, gathering data for reviews, as well as auditing and maintaining data and job descriptions.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Intake all emails from the compensation email, respond to common requests, maintain and track progress, ensure communication is maintained within our service level agreements, and collaborate with analysts on communication for more complex requests.
Review, correct, and process employee and position changes in Workday.
Respond to and complete survey requests from outside agencies and vendors.
Gather updated data for the City’s annual market review.
Maintains the City’s employee bonus tracking and collaborates with Payroll to ensure accurate bonus payouts.
Special projects as assigned including letter creation, mail merge, data entry into workday, front desk coverage.
Write, modify, generate, and distribute Workday reports.
Serve as liaison with HRIS, IT, Payroll, and other internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve Workday errors, as well as continue development of Workday functionality.
Audit Workday compensation and classification data, make corrections as needed, and assist with developing data integrity practices.
Assist with Workday configuration and updates of annual market pay range updates, annual merit pay allocations, and other functionality as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & WORKING CONDITIONS
