We’re looking for a motivated and driven Expert Finance Manager to join our Government Affairs and Real Estate team. Reporting to the Head of Subsidy Program Management, this role will play a crucial part in designing and implementing our financial analysis and accounting processes for the long-term.
As we continue to grow our partnerships with state and federal agencies, you will drive our process and reporting management, business analysis, and be the subject matter expert of our finance and accounting functions.
Your Tasks – Paint the world green
- Design and implement end user finance process and workflow modeling to ensure efficient use of functional systems, including automation of manual processes and improved data reporting capabilities as it relates to invoicing, revenue recognition, compliance and reporting
- Drive scalability and automation as the liaison between the business unit, operations, and IT department in developing business requirements, testing, and implementation for enhanced reporting that follows the strict guidelines for the 5311(f) program
- Work with various state Department of Transportations on any accounting and operational reporting needs to further develop a mutually beneficial relationship
- Contract review and compliance for all Operating Subsidy contracts related to accounting, audit, and invoicing matters and ensure internal reporting is sufficient for contract execution
- Develop regular and ad-hoc summaries of key business indicators, financial and operational highlights to benchmark progress against strategic business plans
- Perform revenue studies for state applications and state reporting requirements
- Complete monthly revenue amortization and balance sheet account analyses
- Prepare subsidy revenue budgets and periodic reforecasts with monthly variance explanations
Your Profile – Ready to hop on board
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum 5 years of experience in complex environment encompassing detailed financial analysis & modeling, budget and forecasting, contract management, monthly journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Minimum 1-2 years of process management experience
- Excellent PC skills including advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Power BI
- Familiarity with government program processes and requirements preferred but not required
- Strong analytical skills; ability to extract meaningful business information from data in multiple systems
