Are you a talented Engineering Manager looking to join a growing team? Dispel wants you to join and manage a team of roughly ~10 engineers, guiding the team toward technical excellence, ensuring high-quality execution, and fostering a culture of collaboration.

We are a 100% fully remote company (U.S. only). You are welcome to use our office in Brooklyn, New York City.
Requirements
Expectations
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers to achieve project goals and professional growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver high-impact solutions.
- Drive engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/deployment.
- Ensure project timelines and quality standards are met while balancing technical debt and innovation.
- Oversee system architecture, scalability, and performance improvements.
- Recruit and retain top engineering talent to support the team’s growth.
- Act as a liaison between engineering and other departments to improve communication and process efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to keep the team competitive.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of engineering leadership experience, plus an additional 6-8+ years of hands on engineering experience using relevant technologies.
- Must be excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
- A willingness to accept failure and feedback, learn and try again.
- A passion for learning new disciplines and gaining a deep understanding of how others on the team do their work.
- An ability to communicate clearly and succinctly both in-person and over team chat.
- Strong problem-solving skills, leadership abilities, and organizational skills.
- Proven experience managing engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
- Strong proficiency with the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.

The U.S. pay range for this position is between $150,000 USD and $171,000 USD per year with an expected Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) between 5% and 15% per year (including bonus or commission). Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
