Product Manager – Learning Resources – 55,000 – 66,000 – Perm – Hybrid (Deadline 14th February 2025)

About our Team:

Product Innovation is an established team of product people within Sage working on exciting and innovative product lines. The team currently includes Product Managers, UX Designers, and Researchers. We are passionate about providing as much value to our users and customers as possible, in ways that work for the business.

Our team delivers new products to our platforms and maintains them across the product lifecycle.

We work closely and collaboratively with many other departments and functions within the business, notably Editorial, Marketing, Sales, Global Operations, Software Engineering and more, drawing on everyone’s expertise to create and improve excellent products. 

Could you be our new Product Manager? We are seeking a Product Manager who is…

  • An excellent communicator and confident working with multiple stakeholders across the business, including senior management to drive decision making & delivery
  • Experienced in launching new digital products from concept, development, design and release
  • Data-driven, market & user focused with the ability to get things done at pace, quickly delivering value to customers and to Sage
  • Collaborative and adept at problem-solving and offering a solutions-focused approach
  • Comfortable reaching out and gaining an empathy with our market, building a strong knowledge of the key users and customers, acting as an advocate for their needs and views

Your new role:

  • Deliver Sage Learning Pillar launches of new products, collections and top-ups on time and to a high standard using Agile methodologies.
  • Work with the strategic product leads to effectively translate business requirements into development user stories and tickets for the backlog of priorities
  • Conduct systematic user acceptance testing for all product launches for quality assurance
  • Ensure decision making and prioritization of backlog items aligns with business needs and targets for achieving product launch efficiencies
  • Conduct measurement and reporting of launch process efficiencies against the agreed targets
  • Conduct effective and timely prioritization of customer issues for the backlog
  • Conduct post-launch product analysis in alignment with the agreed success metrics
  • Ensure products are developed in alignment with our accessibility standards
  • Ensure effective and inclusive stakeholder management alongside agreed milestones throughout the launch development timelines
  • Conduct product market fit analysis in collaboration with our market analyst teams
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by finding opportunities to enhance processes, methodologies and team collaboration while guiding the team through the related improvements.
  • Collaborate with launches Project Manager and launches strategy lead, as well as the Editorial, Marketing and Production personnel for the product, and the SCRUM development team.

Do you have?

  • Proven experience in Product Management, User Research, Agile methodologies (knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, etc.) or business analysis.
  • Working knowledge of project management frameworks and tools (esp. JIRA and Confluence).
  • Strong business analysis skills with the ability to gather, analyse and document requirements
  • Experience working on developing Search, Navigation and Discovery on platforms
  • Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills and can collaborate effectively across different teams and levels of the organization.
  • Strong management competences including ability to flex management style, influence, manage change and seek and deliver feedback.
  • Experience in managing conflict and making decisions quickly under pressure
