Data Steward (Mexico)

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Steward with 5-10+ years of experience in Data Governance and Data Management to join our team. This role will support Pepsico, ensuring high-quality data governance practices, compliance, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in global Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) companies or similar industries, with expertise in data processes, governance frameworks, and stakeholder management. Proficiency in SAP systems, procurement tools, and Informatica technologies is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Data Governance & Management

• Define, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide data governance policies and procedures.
• Lead initiatives to standardize operational data across Pepsicos organization.
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to enhance data ingestion, usage, quality, and stewardship.

Data Quality & Stewardship

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with Pepsicos standards.
• Monitor and improve data quality across procurement, finance, and supply chain functions.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with Pepsicos business leaders, subject matter experts, and IT teams to align data governance practices with business objectives.
• Support data-driven decision-making across departments through clear communication and reporting.

System & Tool Expertise

• Utilize SQL, SAP (Material and Vendor Master), Axon, and procurement platforms like SpendHQ and Ariba MyBuy.
• Manage PO, invoice data, and accounts payable data to ensure seamless financial operations.

Global Procurement Data Management

• Oversee procurement and spend data, ensuring proper integration and usage of Pepsicos global procurement systems.
• Ensure data integrity and governance across Pepsicos global supply chain processes.

Preferred Technical Expertise

• Experience with SAP S/4 HANA, SAP MDG.
• Proficiency in Informatica tools (EDC, Axon, IDQ) for data cataloging and quality management.
• Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5-10+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Data Stewardship within a global CPG company or similar industry.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, SAP systems (Material and Vendor Master), PO, invoice data, and procurement platforms.
• Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality standards, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
