Position Overview
The Deputy Salesforce Project Manager will support the management of a large Salesforce project, working closely with the Project Manager to ensure the successful execution of deliverables. This role will be highly hands-on with the project team, focusing on task execution, team coaching, and executing special projects outside of the normal SAFe cadence, as well as day-to-day project coordination. The Deputy Project Manager will ensure that tasks are completed efficiently, blockers are removed, and team members' efforts are aligned with project goals.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment while gaining experience in managing complex Salesforce projects within a SAFe Agile framework.
Responsibilities
- Foster a culture of exceeding client expectations by deeply understanding their needs.
- Proactively work with the team to ensure tasks are completed and aligned with project goals and deliverables.
- Drive the successful completion of deliverables and project documentation.
- Coach team members on agile best practices, task prioritization, and quality delivery.
- Monitor team progress and remove blockers to maintain momentum and productivity.
- Communicate regularly with the Project Manager to provide updates on task progress, risks, and team performance.
- Lead the facilitation of customer meetings, occasionally on-site in the Baltimore metro area
- Support the development of process flows and design documents using tools like Visio.
- Help foster a positive and productive team culture, promoting collaboration and accountability.
Qualifications
- US citizen or have lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years.
- PMP certification (preferred but not required).
- 3+ years of experience managing or supporting projects in an agile environment.
- 5+ years of overall professional experience
- Previous experience working with Salesforce, with a Salesforce Administrator certification preferred.
- Familiarity with SAFe Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio).
- Ability to effectively coach and mentor team members on best practices and processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4 years of relevant government contractor experience may substitute).
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain Public Trust level clearance.

The salary range provided represents the estimated compensation for new hires in this position, applicable across all locations. Actual offers may vary based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and market conditions.
