Automation QA Engineer 1

Position Summary:

As a QA Engineer 2 at Actabl, your mission is to protect Actabl’s brand by ensuring high quality product releases. You will be an integral part of our Quality Assurance team by defining and planning the performance test strategy. You will work closely with experienced engineers, testers, product managers, and contribute to defining and maintaining expected quality standards. This role is ideal for passionate and driven individuals who are looking to build a solid foundation in software quality engineering - load testing and grow in their careers.

Essential Duties:

• Create and execute a performance test strategy and test plan from scratch
• Build automated performance test scripts to identify load and scalability concerns 
• Write complex SQL queries and handle large data set for load quality validation
• Build a Stress Testing Quality Framework from scratch to monitor the performance
• Evaluating system performance with varying types of load
• Load test functional behavior and measure performance using in Locust, Grafana k6, Loadrunner, Jmeter (or other similar tools) 

Other Duties & Responsibilities (Optional)

• Build an analytical report and dashboard from with test data
• Maintain living documentation on performance test suite
• Adhere to best practices in performance testing and suggest new metrics to define KPIs
• Keeping abreast of developments and trends in load/stress testing

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• 5+ Years of Software Quality Assurance experience which includes Data Warehouse Testing
• Experience in Agile methods, particularly Scrum
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset
• Continual learner - looking to further your QA knowledge via self-study or from coursework assigned by your supervisor
• Experience working with a remote teams across multiple time-zones

Key Competencies:

• Proficiency in Locust, Loadrunner, Jmeter or any similar load testing tools
• Proficiency in programming languages Java, Python etc
• Proficiency in T-SQL
