The Product Management Specialist will support the KLG Accounting and Finance Product Management team to launch new products and assist with updates to existing products. This person will act as a conduit between multiple groups throughout the organization, leveraging these connections to ensure Accounting and Finance solutions are successfully developed, deployed, and consumed by our customers. The ideal candidate is detail orientated and possesses a strong work ethic. 

 This position offers a starting salary of $55,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision. life, disability, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist with product management projects in support of overall quarterly and annual business goals.
  • Query, analyze, and share Surgent sales and course usage performance data from multiple company business systems.  
  • Develop and maintain a detailed schedule of course updates for Accounting and Finance products. 
  • Provide routine communication of course updates to the Accounting and Finance team.
  • Provide data inputs into the CRM, LMS, and websites for new and updated courses.
  • Perform minor editing and formatting of Word, PPT, Excel, and PDF files in order to prepare content for LMS updates. 
  • Perform user acceptance testing to assure new courses and course updates are operating as designed in the LMS, website, and CRM.
  • Identify, communicate, document, and assist with the resolution of technical issues when applicable. 
  • Assist product management team on webinar scheduling for new events and make changes as needed to previously scheduled events.   
  • Create and update product packages within company CRM. 
  • Create and update existing operational processes, guidelines, and policies.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. 
  • 3+ years of experience using Learning Management Systems including Moodle and Al Fresco required.   
  • 3+ years of experience using WordPress or other website solutions required.
  • 3+ years of experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system required.  
  • 3+ years of experience in Instructional Design preferred.  
  • Proven strong technical and problem solving skills required.  
  • Prior exposure to Education and/or Education Technology business preferred.

 

Physical Requirements: 

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
