About the role:
We are looking for an experienced, responsible Technical Talent Development Manager to join the Development Management team with INVIDI Technologies at our Princeton office. You must have experience with the technology culture to bridge the communications between the team and management effectively. This is a multi-faceted role where the Technical Talent Development Manager will drive the Talent Management process and develop strategies to improve the onboarding of new employees, skills assessment, and career development through training, project opportunities, and certification.
You will also be responsible for conducting one-on-one coaching sessions and developing goals that ensure teams are equipped with the right skills at the right time. The right candidate will take the lead role collaborating with the Development Management Team, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners to ensure continuous improvement of agile practices.
The position will report directly to the Sr. Vice President of Software Development and will be based in our Princeton, NJ office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate field issues, support production systems, and diagnose root causes of defects/issues working with ALM tools such as Confluence or JIRA.
- Collaborate within and outside your scrum team in a resourceful and flexible manner with shell scripting and using utilities like SED, AWK, etc.
- An aptitude for analytical problem solving.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and work well in an Agile scrum environment.
- Skill to quickly learn new technologies and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of object-oriented design, data structures and analytics, and algorithms, working with database technologies.
You must have:
- Between 5-8 years’ experience in designing and implementing Java-based programming applications & other languages being a major plus.
- Analyzing user requirements to write efficient code based on specifications.
- Knowledge of current frameworks, SDKs, APIs, and libraries.
- JS or React (UI) specific knowledge.
- Meticulous at both analysis and execution of work tasks.
- Good understanding and experience of working with database
technologies such as MySQL/PostgreSQL.
- Enough knowledge of HTML5, DHTML, Stylesheets (CSS), JavaScript, jQuery and respective browser compatibility issues (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome).
- Working experience with RESTful JSON Web Services.
- Experience testing your code & ensuring following coding best practices.
- Version control experience like GIT Hub, Source Forge, Bitbucket, SVN & other utilities like GIT, JIRA, Confluence etc.
- Experience in building tools such as Gradle/Maven.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience developing serverless solutions in the AWS Cloud.
It would be very good if you have experience in:
- Professional Agile Leadership or Scrum certification
- Ability to use good judgment, tact, and discretion in handling confidential information, and comply with INVIDI’s company policies and procedures
- Ability to work with other leaders to champion continuous improvement
- Ability to quickly learn and pick up new technical concepts
- Ability to work comfortably with all levels and all areas of organization are required
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operations
- Strong understanding of organizational change management
