Dealer Concierge Ancillary Specialist

The Ancillary Specialist provides critical organizational support, working directly with MillerKnoll distribution partners to help navigate and educate a wide range of ancillary portfolio-focused inquiries. As a trusted dealer advisor, this role brings critical expertise and superior ancillary knowledge, support, and enhanced ancillary design for adopting the MillerKnoll portfolio of Ancillary brands. The Ancillary Specialist is a value-driven strategic difference maker.

Location

This position will be based in either one of MillerKnoll corporate locations - West Michigan or East Greenville, or one of MillerKnoll's major markets - Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Washington DC, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta or Phoenix.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Exemplify a premium MillerKnoll brand experience through daily dealer-as-customer correspondence, creative problem solving, and issue resolution.
  • Provide deep subject matter expertise in complex MillerKnoll business areas including ancillary, digital technology and tools, lifestyle products, workplace products, and organizational operations and processes.
  • Leverage deep knowledge to engage in consultative positioning to influence dealer decision-making and drive profitable solutions for MillerKnoll Ancillary and our dealer partners.
  • Take ownership to resolve dealer support inquiries, executing independent judgment, research, and networking to resolve elevated inquiries in a complex environment.
  • Agility to frequently work across internal departments to present challenges and collaboratively solve improving efficiency, processes, and tools.
  • Build and maintain comprehensive knowledge of products, services, tools, and resources across MillerKnoll contract brands.
  • Identify and create new knowledge materials for internal teams and dealers to leverage and learn from. Take the lead on complex topics within areas of deeper expertise.
  • Proficient in leveraging technology platforms to perform daily functions.
  • Conducts project and order activities, and processes, and provides service information as an experienced and expert consultant to various customer segments.
  • Maintains accurate records of daily communications, ongoing issues, and resolutions taken. Responsible for generating and maintaining proper documentation while complying with work instructions and departmental standards, and proposes ideas for improvements to work-flow processes
  • Specification of MillerKnoll Ancillary product to meet end user/dealer needs
  • Creation of deliverables to promote the specification, selection, and sale of MillerKnoll ancillary products
  • Coaches, trains, and mentors new and existing team members both formally and informally.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, design, marketing, or a related academic discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of related professional experience. MillerKnoll brand experience preferred.
  • Familiarity working in Salesforce is preferred.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong knowledge or ability to develop knowledge on MillerKnoll products, services, policies, processes, procedures and technology
  • Demonstrates proficiency in AutoCad, Revit, CET, or other current 3D Software design tools
  • Experience with CAP & CET (preferred)
  • Ability to lead a meeting to understand project needs and align on deliverables
  • Excellent interaction skills: professional communication, listening, empathy and conflict resolution.
  • Proven interpersonal skills in dealing with individual contacts from various levels and locations (both internal and external) and able to present a positive image both within the corporation and to the public.
  • Demonstrated expertise creating and implementing alternative solutions to a request or problem
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use and train in office automation technology and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and/or participate in continuous improvement teams/projects and pilot new technology, practices or business enhancements.
  • Ability to be deadline-oriented and to work under pressure while tactfully dealing with stressful situations
  • Ability to informally or formally train or mentor others.
  • Pro-active, solution-oriented, resourceful and strives for excellence.
  • Comfortable working in both a collaborative team environment and independently.
  • Ability to work support flexible working hours if needed.

A starting compensation range for this role is $68,550.00 - $85,725.00. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors . You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive and equity awards which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
