Job description

VicRoads RLS, founded in August 2022 by a consortium of Aware Super, Australian Retirement Trust, Macquarie Asset Management, and the Victorian State Government, operates under a long term concession deed issued by the State Government. We work collaboratively with the Victorian State Government to ensure we fulfil regulatory requirements, deliver State projects and safeguard customer data. The Victorian State Government retains sole responsibility for road access, infrastructure and safety 

  • Annual Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
  • Employment Type: Full Time – 12 Month Fixed Term
  • Usual Work Location: 180 Lonsdale Street/ Work from home (flexible working arrangement)

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager, the Procurement Manager leads the development, implementation and agreements for a diverse range of services in line with relevant procurement and/or contracting policies, procedures and guidelines.

Primary importance is to understand business needs to determine procurement planning and sourcing decisions for market engagement. This role also requires engagement and legal document exchange with Suppliers to inform, negotiate and deliver value for money procurement outcomes.

About you

The skills and experience required in the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in roles with similar capabilities and solid supplier engagement.
  • Expertise in managing contractual arrangements and maintaining updated documentation.
  • Ability to address complex issues without predefined policies or precedents.
  • Provide expert advice to influence strategic decision-making and business plans.
  • Effective negotiation with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Background in legal contract review is a plus.
