Job description

The Director, Quality and Customer Approvals will be part of the Strategic Operations and Integration team within the Regal Rexnord (RRX) Automation and Motion Control Segment. This position will report directly to the Senior Director, Strategic Operations and Integration. This role will partner with senior functional, regional, and global leaders to ensure critical initiatives are transitioned into actionable milestones which are executed to achieve long-term objectives. The Director, Quality and Customer Approvals will bring to bear program / project management, change management, and quality management expertise to support the Segment-wide, flawless implementation of Integration initiatives and related efforts. Successful execution will require critical-thinking, collaboration, coaching / facilitation skills, and the ability to drive engagement and results across the organization. Focus will be on delivering outcomes that enable profitable growth, improve the customer experience, and increase associate engagement to deliver sustainable results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned.

· Partner with Commercial, Sales, Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams across multiple Divisions to prepare for and execute critical, integration initiative for the Automation & Motion Control (AMC) Segment.

· Support Transfer of Work (TOW) efforts across multiple “pitch” sites to ensure all customer TOW quality requirements are clearly understood and executed within appropriate timeframes to support timely production ramp-up at “catch” facilities.

· Grow, develop and maintain a comprehensive database of quality partners within companies impacted by TOW efforts across multiple strategic initiatives.

· Build and nurture a strong partnership with the AMC Commercial and Sales organizations and partner to ensure excellent customer service throughout TOW process.

· Consider change management best practices in crafting and deploying communications to customers; Serve as a customer POC across multiple Divisions and multiple strategic initiatives to ensure consistent communications, reduce touchpoints, and minimize distractions / disruptions to customers.

· Provide strategic thinking and direction to establish a leading quality & customer approval model for large integration initiatives while providing tactical abilities to execute customer requirements.

· Contribute to establishment of standard quality and customer approval integration success metrics at segment-level; Track performance measures to validate and document and communicate goal achievement.

· Identify customers impacted, cost implications, resource needs, and schedule requirements across multiple strategic initiatives and translate requirements into actionable goals and objectives with specific and measurable targets to ensure success across initiatives.

· Serve as a trusted resource and mentor to “pitch” and “catch” site quality resources by supporting improvements to local processes while identifying standardization opportunities across multiple sites.

· Lead and train “pitch” and “catch” site staff, as appropriate, to achieve aggressive targets on project deliverables while ensuring compliance to customer and regulatory requirements.

· Demonstrate RRX RBS role model leadership by utilizing standard Regal Rexnord (RRX) Business System project management tools (Parent A3s, Project A3s, and TTI / KPI Bowlers) while coaching project team members to become authorities at developing and utilizing these tools; Work with a continuous improvement mindset.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, operations, or related field.

· Minimum eight years of experience managing large scale, multi-dimensional, cross-functional, and complex projects to meet tight deadlines and achieve financial targets.

· Minimum three-years of experience working in a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes used for metal manufacturing such as grinding and turning.

· Experience utilizing Change Management concepts and tools to lead teams through large transition projects; Pro-sci ADKAR certification a plus.

· Experience utilizing continuous improvement / lean leadership tools such as visual management, daily accountability, standard work, Gemba)

· Consistent track record for developing, training, and coaching teams at all levels, that can influence and remove roadblocks to achieve results.

· Effective communicator and solid facilitator including solid written, oral, and presentation-giving skills.

· Hardworking, creative, upbeat, and multidimensional leader who can function calmly in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

· Experience with quality systems: e.g. AS9100, ISO9001, ISO13485 or TS16949 a plus

· Experience working with non-U.S. cultures and countries-preferred

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Travel required (25-50% based on business needs)

Salary Range 141K-220K
