Job description

Forbes is seeking a Temporary Booker/Writer to help our on-camera journalists book guests for our variety of digital-first video programs, manage the workflow and write short articles. The ideal
candidate will have a major interest in news, politics, culture, and entertainment, with a broad knowledge of news and journalism and the writers, pundits, and thinkers therein.

Responsibilities

  • Contacting guests – politicians, pundits, journalists, experts, in-house talent,
    business leaders – for interviews
  • Scheduling guests both in-studio and in-person and ensuring that their needs
    are met
  • Managing the studio schedule so that interviews are not double-booked
  • Sending completed interviews to guests
  • Maintaining an ever-growing database of guests
  • Write short articles for Forbes.com about the interviews

The Ideal Candidate

  • 1+ years’ experience as a booker
  • Outstanding time management skills
  • Thorough knowledge of news and journalism
  • Interest in news and politics is a must.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments
  • Based in the greater NYC area.

The hourly rate for this role is $20.00 - $25.00
