Job description

i5 Technology Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Proposal Strategist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in government contracting and a proven track record of developing competitive pricing strategies for proposals.  The best qualified candidate will be selected by February 3, 2025, for an immediate start.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with proposal managers and subject matter experts to develop pricing strategies for government contracts. 
  • Prepare cost models, pricing templates, and proposal budgets that align with government requirements. 
  • Analyze and interpret solicitations, Request for Proposals (RFPs), and other contract documents to ensure pricing strategies comply with government regulations. 
  • Assess cost and pricing data, including labor rates, overhead costs, and materials, to build competitive price proposals. 
  • Coordinate with the finance team to ensure cost proposals reflect accurate and compliant financial structures. 
  • Conduct price analyses to identify competitive pricing strategies and identify risks or opportunities in proposals. 
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on pricing adjustments based on market trends, contract scope, and competitive landscape. 
  • Assist with the preparation of pricing documentation to support proposal submission. 
  • Stay up-to-date with government contracting regulations and industry best practices related to pricing. 

Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field. 

Minimum of 5 years of experience in proposal pricing and government contracting. 

Strong analytical and financial modeling skills. 

Excellent understanding of government procurement processes and regulations. 

Proficiency in pricing software and tools. 

Strong understanding of government procurement processes, including FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement). 

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
