Job description

Prequel is seeking candidates for an Information Assurance Manager position for a long-term DoD contract engagement. This role involves designing security plans, ensuring compliance with RMF requirements, managing ATO certifications, and collaborating with government counterparts to validate security measures. The ideal candidate will have experience in risk assessments, security policy implementation, and IT security compliance. This role is fully remote but may require occasional travel to military facilities. Key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with RMF policies and DoD security standards.
  • Manage security controls within eMass for ATO approvals.
  • Perform security scans, STIGs, and checklists.
  • Train IT teams on RMF requirements and security best practices.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Coordinate COOP testing and track security control compliance.
  • Collaborate with DoD cloud managers to implement RMF-compliant solutions.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of general IT experience, with 3+ years in information assurance.
  • Experience with risk assessments, security policy implementation, and compliance readiness.
  • Strong knowledge of RMF, DoD IA tools, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux/Windows administration, ACAS, SCAP scanning tools.
  • Familiarity with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platforms.
  • Bachelors degree in Information Assurance or equivalent military/technical training (preferred).
  • Security certification required (CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, CASP, etc.).
