This is an opportunity to join our agile, fast-paced and versatile team of project professionals. The role will work closely with our team of Project Managers and Change Managers and will support the wider organization with high class project expertise and participate in the continuous growth and improvement of the GSMA.
Anna Campbell, Head of Project Services & Change
The Project Services Team in the GSMA provides project management capabilities to deliver change initiatives across the mobile industry. Working in close partnership with subject matter experts within the GSMA and from across the mobile industry, the Project Services team manages a wide range of projects in all areas of the organisation, including Technology, Product Development, Marketing and Events, as well as internal facing projects in IT, Finance and HR.
Project Services is the delivery engine for projects across the GSMA. As well as delivering projects to agreed cost, quality and timelines, the Project Services team maintains a strong focus on delivering benefits to our colleagues, our members and to the mobile industry.
The Project Management Office (PMO) is a centralised function within GSMA that enables the governance of organisational change, providing services and support to change to the project community. Its main responsibilities are to:
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Project Services & Change and will oversee the PMO Lead as their line manager
Main areas of responsibility are:
Own and ensure that a set of standards and processes exist to support the Project Services team in the management of project, programme and portfolio work throughout the organisation – work with the PMO Lead to ensure processes are maintained, relevant and up to date
Create and maintain a plan for current project management tools such as Asana, MS Project, MS Teams etc – working with the PMO Lead and IT to ensure the Project Services team and the wider organisation has access to these tools and that they are fit for purpose, maintained, and upgraded as appropriate
As a PMO Manager you will need the following skills:
Knowledge and previous use of a variety of PMO tools such as Asana, MS Project, MS Teams, Sharepoint, Salesforce etc
