ROLE
Reporting to the Director, Individual Giving, the role of Manager, Individual Giving will be responsible for organizing and implementing fundraising activities through the management of annual and leadership individual donor strategies, cultivating and securing increased giving from those constituents and securing new support from annual and leadership level donors. In addition, the Manager, Individual Giving will curate, qualify, and cultivate a portfolio of leadership annual donors with gifts ranging from $10,000 - $50,000 annually. A highly collaborative position, the Manager, Individual Giving will work hand-in-hand with event and communication colleagues to coordinate all donor-focused mass communications or events, and will act as the individual giving team’s leader for those efforts including Earth Day, Giving Tuesday, end of year campaign, and others that may become part of CATF’s donor strategy.
They must be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. They will cultivate and nurture relationships with all staff responsible for fundraising and will be part of a team to design and implement a donor-centric strategy to increase annual and multi-year revenue from individuals and family offices. The ideal candidate will have a strong insight into the nonprofit sector and fundraising best practices.
Key Functions and Responsibilities:
- Execute all annual and leadership annual giving campaigns and engagement plans
- Serve as a primary thought and project leader on development communication pieces targeting individual donors
- Manage the annual giving and leadership annual giving programs, moving those donors toward sustained and upgraded gifts to CATF
- Manage a highly curated portfolio of key upgrade targets and moving donors to leadership and major gift supporters of CATF
- Serve as a thought partner to the Director, Individual Giving on donor engagement strategies, portfolio management, and program leadership
- Serve as primary point of contact for colleagues across functional units, specifically in communications and event functions
- Work in close collaboration with development support staff to identify and strategize around data management projects and strategy
- Lead the management of the major donor pipeline, identifying and targeting key prospects for qualification
- Be the individual giving point of contact for mass-marketed events and communications projects targeting CATF’s constituencies
- Support the full development team when necessary to ensure successful completion of projects, goals, and ensuring an exceptional donor experience
- Be willing to travel occasionally within the U.S. and internationally
- Complete other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent education, professional or other experience relevant to the position
- 2+ years of experience in Salesforce
- 2+ years managing a portfolio of donors and/or donor constituent groups
- 4+ years in sales or nonprofit fundraising
- Understanding of mass communication principles and strategies
- Familiarity and comfort with donor moves management principles
- Comfort with metrics-based performance expectations
- Collaborative team player
- A driven, hardworking mindset that informs strategy and work plan
- The ability to succeed in a distinct and dynamic culture and successfully manage multiple details and priorities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, organizational and analytical skills, and project and deadline management skills
- Comfort interacting with ultra-high net worth individuals, cabinet-level officials, and high-pressure engagement settings

Compensation and Location:
This is a remote, full-time position flexible within the U.S. CATF offers an excellent benefits package (see details on our careers page) and an annual salary range of $92,950-$120,000, depending on experience.
