Job description

Why Patients Need You

Patient Solutions is an evolving and highly important area for the success of Pfizer Specialty Care. Due to the complexity of the patient journey in many specialty care therapeutic areas, up to 50% of specialty medications never get dispensed after an HCP writes the script. The role of the Patient Solutions and Engagement team is to simplify and elevate the patient and customer experience, to ensure an elegant journey and that appropriate patients get access to care that their HCP has recommended. 

  

What You Will Achieve

The PS&E Operations Manager will provide a broad range of operational support to the Patient Solutions leadership team but will specifically support the Patient Solutions and Enablement teams in day-to-day operations driving effectiveness of the organization.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for ensuring operational concerns and requests from across the business are routinely identified, prioritized, tracked and resolved in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with other cross-functional teams to maintain routine communication and resolve issues efficiently.

  • Manage all routine operational tasks with absolute speed and efficiency (e.g., data change requests, Pfizer Align updates etc.).

  • Proactively identify innovative solutions to simplify processes and further enable Patient Solutions customer facing colleagues to deliver results.

  • Lead operational projects and workstreams for Patient Solutions related to program and project execution, training, and planning (e.g., resource development, process improvements, platform/application releases, communications).

  • Manage critical projects to advance the organizational effectiveness of Patient Solutions. Serve as operational support lead, strategic thought partner and point of contact for various cross-functional partners; ensure clear communication and a high degree of alignment within in the organization both horizontally and vertically in all areas of responsibility.

  • Lead planning for key meetings including POAs, spotlight meetings and leadership meetings in collaboration with brand marketing and training; engage and manage meeting planning to support these meetings.

  • Work with Operations Teams and cross-functional partners to manage I&I and Rare X-BU communications ensuring clarity, consistency and simplicity.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

  • BA/BS Degree required.

  • 5+ years of previous pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales experience.

  • Demonstrated track record of strong cross-functional collaboration; must have exceptional emotional intelligence and self-awareness.

  • Effective project management skills and ability to lead without authority.

  • Strong communication (written and verbal), influencing, negotiating, listening and interpersonal skills to effectively develop / maintain productive internal and vendor relationships.

  • Effectively communicates with colleagues at all levels across multiple functions (including senior leaders in the organization) with ability to influence outcome of interactions.

  • Strong organizational skills are essential.

  • Strong internal networking skills to solicit information and integrate industry best practices to the organization.

  • Must be change agile, with the ability to quickly reprioritize efforts to meet changing requirements in a fluid environment.

  • Highly effective at utilizing current sales force technology platforms; Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technology.

  • Ability to anticipate issues/needs and work proactively to address them; demonstrated initiative and ability to handle ambiguity.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate with colleagues at various levels.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.

  • Experience in a promoted position and/or developmental role with demonstrated leadership across peer and manager groups preferred.

Qualifications Must-Have

  • Strong strategic skills including effectiveness in identifying and addressing major strategic challenges (e.g., shifting market environment) and the ability to balance short-term needs with long-term vision.

  • Strong interpersonal skills are required, as well as excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills to address Leadership and external audiences.

  • Good judgement and high ethics are a must.

  • Headquarters knowledge and experience, with proven experience working across cross­ functional HQ departments, teams, and business units.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $120,800.00 to $201,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
