About the Role (your why)
The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for guiding and implementing initiatives relating to client operational standards and services. The role will involve operating Datacom’s technical infrastructure including corporate hardware and software as well as providing corporate systems for the Datacom Business.
We are looking for a contractor to come onboard and contribute to an exciting project with one of our client accounts. Contractors with active Secret Vetting (SV) Security Clearance will only be considered.
What you’ll do
The Senior Systems Engineer will solve customers’ business problems using industry best practices and ensure consistent service delivery per Service Level Agreements. This role involves coordinating with vendors for support and escalation, providing technical support, testing new solutions, and participating in technology road mapping. Responsibilities include guiding colleagues within company policies, implementing change requests, and staying updated with industry trends to adjust practices as needed. Additionally, the Senior Systems Engineer will install, test, maintain and monitor systems software performance, and improve operating systems and firmware.
What you’ll bring
Must have experience with design, implementation and optimization of:
- Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange.
- Experience packaging applications using Advanced InstalleR
- Experience developing automated data-flows using Apache NiFi
- You'll have excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to communicate solutions, engaging both technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders.
