Job description

BizForce is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Patient Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. As a critical component of our healthcare service operations, you will manage the appointment scheduling process, ensuring that patients receive timely access to care while maintaining smooth workflows for healthcare providers. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong administrative skills and a passion for patient care who want to work remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, ensuring optimal utilization of provider schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to confirm appointments and provide relevant information.
  • Maintain accurate records of appointments and patient interactions in our scheduling system.
  • Assist patients with any inquiries related to their appointments, including rescheduling and cancellations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to address scheduling conflicts and manage patient flow.
  • Send reminders to patients regarding upcoming appointments to reduce no-show rates.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Support other administrative duties as needed to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a scheduling coordinator or in a similar administrative role in healthcare
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare services
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in computer software, including scheduling applications and MS Office Suite
  • Email etiquette and customer service experience
  • Amenable to work in a graveyard shift (any US time zone)
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in handling scheduling tasks
  • Proactive attitude and problem-solving abilities to resolve scheduling issues
