What about you? As a UX Researcher Freelancer, you will work closely with other members of our Creative Services team to play a crucial role in shaping user experiences across a diverse range of digital projects. You will be responsible for conducting both foundational and evaluative user research, analyzing user behavior, and providing insights to guide UX strategies and design decisions. Quick to pick up patterns and patient enough to identify long-term trends. You’re detail-oriented and logical.

Your compensation and details of work will look like…
  • $65-95/hour, depending on the scope of the project
  • Payment will be on an hourly rate, within the predefined scope of work hours
  • Location: US-based remote
  • Capacity: Variable, demand-based hours
  • Duration: Ongoing, with multiple projects forecasted through end of 2025

  • Here are some highlights of what you’ll be doing…
  • Work closely with our UX Lead and Sr. UX Strategist on our Creative Services team to execute research studies for cross-industry clients across both B2B and B2C.
  • Research coordination and managing the logistics of user research, including study setup, screener development, and participant recruiting. 
  • Conduct evaluative research, including moderated and unmoderated studies to assess the usability and effectiveness of user interfaces to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct generative research, including early-stage moderated research to identify user needs and opportunities for product growth and innovation.
  • Code and synthesize findings to create insights readouts or slide deck deliverables with relevant research clips for our Creative Services team to review.
  • Communicate research plans to Creative Services team stakeholders and maintain communication with them throughout the research process.
  • Proactively manage work - review project plans and briefs, flagging any dependencies or concerns.
  • Prepare, execute, and deliver all studies on time.

  • The skills you’ll bring to the table…
  • 4+ years’ experience in user research.
  • Fundamental understanding of web and mobile technologies, and familiarity with participant recruitment and remote research tools such as UserInterviews,PlaybookUX, and UXTweak
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to translate research findings into clear and actionable data-driven recommendations.

  • Background in storytelling and generative user research methodologies
  • Previous consultative experience in the digital marketing space (SEO, CRO, etc.)
