Job description

Overview

 

This position will support and execute an investor relations and corporate communications program to effectively convey Iovance’s mission, vision and values as the global leader in TIL cell therapy for solid tumor cancers. This individual will execute and implement the corporate narrative, commercial launch story and pipeline messages to the investor audience across multiple communications channels. They will work closely with investor and public relations leaders to foster shareholder relationships and effectively target the highest quality investors while supporting investor and industry conferences as well as non-deal road shows, manufacturing facility tours, KOL panels and other bespoke investor events. This role will also include active monitoring of analyst research and media coverage to ensure message pull through and content accuracy. This position will liaise with the clinical, advocacy, medical affairs and commercial functions on corporate and investor messaging around medical meetings and data milestones. They will also help plan and organize key deliverables for the quarterly and annual reporting processes, in close collaboration with Finance and Legal.

 


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

 

·       Work with the IR and Corporate Communications team to support Iovance’s investor relations program and targeting as well as supporting content, logistics and outreach for investor meetings, conferences and other events.

·       Provide analytics and tracking - including ownership analysis, relative stock price movements, research analysts' valuations and financial models, and market intelligence - to keep the internal team apprised of relevant events and help facilitate engagement with the investment community.

·       Closely track macro, biotech, cell therapy and disease area news and developments to communicate effectively on relevant topics and anticipate and address investor and analyst questions.

·       Organize updates and review of messaging documents by key topics and audiences.

·       Provide practical and meaningful Investor Relations support, including briefing books, portfolio positions and peer ownership in advance of engagements.

·       Maintain institutional ownership lists and deliver quarterly shareholder and targeting updates. Collaborate with Nasdaq advisory team to identify current buying and selling trends. 

·       Support the quarterly earnings preparation process, which includes drafting earnings releases, call scripts, accompanying presentations, as well as preparing talking points and relevant Q&A. 

·       Manage and collate corporate content reviews according to a defined corporate policy, collaborating closely with legal and regulatory, to adhere to industry regulations and guidelines.

·       Maintain and update IR and corporate websites.

·       Implement and manage a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to track all IR interactions and match against quarterly ownership changes.

·       Augment website content on corporate governance and social responsibility to better convey Iovance’s ESG initiatives.

·       Perform miscellaneous duties and strategic projects as assigned.

 

Required Education, Skills, and Knowledge

 

·       Bachelor's or higher degree.

·       8-10 years' experience in investor relations, Wall Street, public relations or corporate communications, preferably with at least 2 years of Investor Relations at a public commercial stage life science company. 

·       Must adhere to Iovance Biotherapeutics’ core values, policies, procedures, and business ethics.

·       Deep expertise and a proven history of repeated successes in investor engagement and message implementation.

·       Prioritization and time management skills to juggle and complete multiple projects with strict attention to detail and sense of urgency, sometimes in a short timeframe.

·       Prior experience writing investor presentations, scripts and press releases, or other content for the biotech Wall Street audience, along with aptitude for working with the investment community.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills across multiple internal and external channels.

·       Ability to translate complex scientific and clinical information into simple, easy to comprehend messages.

 

Preferred Education, Skills, and Knowledge

 

·       Strong background in finance, accounting, or communications.

·       Capital markets acumen, including rules and regulations of publicly traded companies highly desirable.

·       Understanding of complex manufacturing of cell and gene therapies or biologics.
