Magellan Jets is seeking a motivated, fearless, resilient, and results-driven Business Development Associate to focus on prospecting new high value charter and Jet Card opportunities. The primary goal of this role is to generate qualified prospects through strategic outbound efforts including calls, emails, and participation in key industry events. The ideal candidate is passionate about building new client relationships, has strong communication skills, and is eager to contribute to the growth of Magellan Jets' business. This position reports to a VP/SVP and will drive efforts to meaningfully engage specified target geographies, markets, and industries, organizations, and individuals, who are predisposed to using private travel services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Prospecting & Lead Generation:

Conduct proactive outbound calls and emails to identify and engage potential new clients for charter and Jet Card services

Develop a pipeline of high-quality prospects, with a target of generating 12 scheduled face-to-face, video, or phone meetings per month.

Leverage research, cold calling, and digital outreach to target individuals or businesses within the assigned geographic region or vertical.

Build and maintain a database of potential clients, tracking progress and key touchpoints.
Event Participation & Networking:

Actively participate in select industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to identify new business prospects and promote Magellan Jets' offerings.

Represent the company in a professional manner, building relationships with potential clients and industry stakeholders.
Collaboration & Strategy:

Work closely with the VP/SVP and assigned team to align prospecting efforts with overall business development strategies.

Partner with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and sales, to ensure a cohesive approach to lead generation and client acquisition.

Provide regular updates on prospecting activities, lead pipeline, and performance against targets to leadership.
Market Research & Analysis:

Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, trends, and key players within the assigned region or vertical.

Keep informed about industry developments and competitor activities to inform prospecting efforts and refine outreach strategies
COMPETENCIES:
Knowledge:
-
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field

1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or lead generation, preferably in luxury services, finance, aviation, or a related industry

Knowledge of the private aviation industry or luxury services is a plus
Skills:

Demonstrated success in outbound prospecting and lead generation, with experience meeting or exceeding monthly targets

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage prospects through calls, emails, and networking events

Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
