Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Desktop Move Manager to join our dynamic team. The Desktop Move Manager will play a critical role in our organization by overseeing the logistics and coordination of desktop moves across various departments. This position requires a keen understanding of the technical aspects of desktop setups, as well as exceptional organizational and communication skills. The successful candidate will work closely with IT staff, facilities management, and department heads to ensure that all desktop transfers are executed smoothly and efficiently. This includes planning and scheduling moves, managing inventory of equipment, and addressing any issues that may arise during the transition process. The Desktop Move Manager will also be responsible for conducting assessments of current setups and making recommendations for improvements, ensuring that all employees have the necessary tools and resources to perform their best work. As a key player in our operational efficiency and workplace effectiveness, this role demands a proactive approach, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service to all stakeholders involved. Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage desktop moves across various departments and locations.
  • Plan logistics for each move, including scheduling, resource allocation, and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to ensure that all equipment is set up and configured correctly before and after moves.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employees regarding their desktop moves, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Conduct assessments of current desktop setups and provide recommendations for improvements or upgrades that enhance efficiency.
  • Track and maintain accurate records of all desktop equipment and moves for inventory purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during the desktop moving process.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in project management, particularly in desktop or office relocations.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple moves simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with employees and management.
  • Analytical skills to assess situations and provide effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and standard office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving capabilities.
