Job description

Ripple Effect is looking for a Healthcare Analyst with 2 years of relevant professional experience to support our client’s mission. This role will work closely with our Public Comment Analysis team to apply knowledge of healthcare, science and public health to analyze, summarize, synthesize and interpret policy and program-related content with a large focus on analyzing public comments.

General Information

Responsibilities:

  • Applies knowledge of healthcare, science and public health to analyze, summarize, synthesize, and interpret policy-related and program-related content with a large focus on analyzing public comments. 
  • Enters and validates data to support the analysis process. 
  • Leverages content knowledge to read, parse code and analyze public comments and other policy-related datasets. 
  • Contributes to reports or briefs. 
  • Conducts background research to deepen understanding of policy or program related content. 
  • Supports the analysis and parsing process by categorizing content by stakeholder and submission type or other categorizations relevant to the project. 
  • Summarizes policy content succinctly and accurately. 
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned. 

Requirements

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Master's degree in healthcare, public health, policy, law, health research, medicine, pharmacy, nursing, interoperability, or related discipline.
  • 2 Years of relevant work experience

Basic Requirements 

  • Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on efficiency and attention to detail
  • Experience entering and validating data to support the analysis process
  • Experience analyzing and summarizing program-related content succinctly and accurately
  • Ability to work productively in a web-based environment to accomplish tasks
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and know when to seek assistance
  • Demonstrated strength in oral and written communication skills, including professional emails
  • One or more of the following:
    • Direct experience organizing, parsing, or coding public comments or other qualitative data
    • Direct experience analyzing primary or secondary qualitative data
    • Ability to clearly write and summarize complex policy information
    • Direct experience in health policy
  • Availability to work at least 20 hours per week when given an assignment
  • Must reside within the U.S. in a location Ripple Effect is set up to support (NOT New York, California, or Puerto Rico)
