Lime is hiring a Sustainability Reporting Manager to help advance the company’s commitment to building a more sustainable, carbon-free future reporting to the Vice President of Sustainability. 

As a global leader in sustainability and the effort to decarbonize urban transportation, you will drive Lime’s sustainability reporting and compliance across existing and emerging Environmental, Governance, and Social (ESG) regulatory and voluntary frameworks while advancing the company’s mission. 

The ideal candidate will have experience working in an evolving startup environment and with sustainability reporting. You will be an in the moment problem solver with the ability to think both short term and establish processes for the long term. You're energized about building and scaling a sustainability organization and being part of a forward-thinking, mission-centric company.  

While this is a remote role, the ideal candidate will be based in NYC, Seattle, or Chicago.

What You'll Do:
  • Help lead the delivery of reporting strategy to advance the company’s mission.
  • Develop and implement systems for tracking and reporting sustainability data across Lime’s business, ensuring accurate and transparent measurement of the company's environmental, social and governance impacts, and lead ESRS Gap Closure process for the organization.
  • Ensure the company meets the broad suite of enacted and emerging ESG reporting and compliance regulations, including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), EU Taxonomy, California’s Climate Disclosure Rules, as well as voluntary reporting such as CDP, MSCI and IFRS/ISSB, and TCFD.
  • Lead cross functional efforts with support from Finance, Legal, People and Data teams to ensure the integration of sustainability reporting across the organization and oversee ESG auditing processes, ensuring compliance with global standards and a commitment to best practices.
  • Lead the preparation of sustainability reporting in accordance with GRI, SASB, SBTi, and/or other relevant frameworks, highlighting Lime’s positive impacts as well as its performance and continued improvement across ESG categories.
  • Drive projects relating to carbon inventories, materiality, life cycle assessments, measuring the impact of new products and sustainability initiatives, and other internal research, offering sound analysis using business strategy and good strategic sense.
  • Support local government relations teams with local reporting needs and requests from city regulators/stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about evolving global ESG regulations and reporting requirements that impact the mobility and technology sector to ensure the company’s consistent ESG leadership, ensuring that Lime complies with all applicable reporting standards and regulations.

  • About You:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, Finance or in a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in ESG reporting, sustainability, or corporate social responsibility, preferably in the transportation or technology sectors and for a public company.
  • Strong knowledge of voluntary and mandatory sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g. CSRD, GRI, SASB, IFRS/ISSB, TCFD MSCI, SBTi, CDP) with the ability to support the company with assurance readiness processes
  • Excellent project management, analytical and data management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly, persuasively, and strategically to further business interests.
  • Excellent emotional intelligence with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders.

  • Preferred Experience:
  • Proficiency in sustainability reporting software and data analysis tools.
  • Large business or public sector experience with sustainability reporting across the various reporting frameworks.
  • Experience with audit processes and process controls 
  • MBA/advanced degree
  • Start-up experience
  • The anticipated salary range for this position is $84,000 - $120,000. Annual performance bonus, equity and benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, depending on the position offered. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s location of residence, the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications. In addition to base salary, some roles may be eligible for a variable performance-bonus based on a combination of company performance, employee performance, and management discretion.
