TransLash Media Overview
TransLash Media is a non-profit media organization which uses the power of journalism and nonfiction storytelling to tell trans stories in order to save trans lives, as well as to protect democracy. We do so through award-winning content across podcast, film, written, zine and digital platforms.
Organizational and Fundraising Context
Currently, TransLash Media is in the midst of an ambitious growth plan to increase the size of the organization to meet the scale of the problems which both trans communities and the country face. In the face of an Anti-Trans Hate Machine, we are strengthening our capacity and resiliency. This means we are well on our way to go from our current seven-figure organizational budget each year, with projected growth of eight figures over the next several years.
With a significant financial commitment to strengthen our organizational infrastructure, TransLash Media is seeking to onboard and integrate a Development Director to our growing team. We are seeking someone who not only has fundraising prowess, a passion for resourcing organizations to build, a commitment to building systems for the long-term, and terrific management skills.
Emotional intelligence is a must for this job, as well as the existence of–and willingness to build–strong development relationships. At TransLash, we generate innovative content through an intersectional lens which emphasizes excellence. Our Development Director must both understand and be a champion of our work.
We are committed to approaching our work across departments through an intersectional racial and gender lens and working to ensure that our fundraising practices are aligned with these values.
