About This Opportunity: 

As an SVP of Client Services with our DTE clients, you will be responsible for securing and growing our current book of business clients. You’ll oversee a team that interacts daily with our clients, ensuring their needs are met, addressing their issues, and proactively identifying opportunities to expand the partnership through the diverse solutions that Vālenz has to offer. 

Things You’ll Do Here:  

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of client services professionals. 
  • Set goals, establish performance metrics, and regularly evaluate performance. 
  • Foster a collaborative and customer-centric culture within the team. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns. 
  • Develop strategies to enable growth and ensure the team is equipped to identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding the range of solutions provided. 
  • Partner with operational leaders to develop and execute service strategies that lead to consistent and sustained levels of exceptional customer service. 
  • Foster a positive partnership with clients ensuring trusting relationships that lead to growth and scale of the relationship.

  • Communicate regularly with senior management as a customer advocate, providing updates on client services performance, opportunities, and challenges. 
  • Anticipate, identify, and present any problems requiring managerial attention. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and operations. 
  • Present reports, metrics, and recommendations to the executive team. 
  • Comply with established rules to ensure that the best solutions are executed, inclusive of addressing delivery challenges. 
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.

What You’ll Bring to the Team: 

  • Current or recent senior leadership role in client services or account management 
  • Prior experience in client-facing, sales or account management, role in the health insurance and employee benefits industry. 
  • Strong understanding of customer relationship management and the ability to drive customer satisfaction and business growth. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels. 
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data and market insights to drive strategic decisions. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve targets and objectives. 

A plus if you have: 

  • Experience with self-funded insurance. 
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA or equivalent. 

Where You’ll Work: This is a fully remote position; however, travel will be required 25-50% of the time. We’ll provide all the equipment you need! 

  • Work Environment: You’ll need a quiet workspace that is free from distractions. 
  • Technology: Reliable internet connection—if you can use streaming services, you’re good to go! 
  • Security: Adherence to company security protocols, including the use of VPNs, secure passwords, and company-approved devices/software. 
  • Location: You must be US based, in a location where you can work effectively and comply with company policies such as HIPAA.
