DUTIES: Provide technical leadership in designing and developing software for the SAP BRIM and SAP FICA platforms using ABAP programming language; work with SAP FICA convergent charging and convergent invoicing; implement and configure SAP Fiori user interfaces; using SAFE Agile methodology; design and develop the state of our Billing Transformation/Integration with SAP ERP; analyze, configure, test, and assist with the integration of new applications; oversee the documentation of all SAP BRIM development activity; train non-technical personnel and other junior and senior engineers on the team; assist with performance metrics; mentor/provide guidance and support to other Engineers; integrate knowledge of business and functional priorities; collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements; conduct analysis to determine integration needs; configure, design and develop SAP integrated solutions supporting business need and requirements; lead our Billing Transformation strategy and implementation in partnership with Solution Architects, Business Partners and Engineering teams; review and participate in solution build and test activities on SAP implementation and rollout; delegate responsibilities to Engineering team members; review all SAP functional specifications for our transformation to ensure quality solutions are proposed and not duplicating existing functionality; collaborate with peers and Vendor partners to apply best practices to integrate SAP applications; design new software and web applications, support application development and customize current applications; develop software update processes for existing application; assist in the roll-out of software releases; oversee the research, writing, and editing of documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals and provide recommendations and reports; keep current with technological developments within industry; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solutions of assigned projects; work with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements; test and evaluate system, subsystems and components; act as a technical contact / liaison for external vendors and/or customers; present and defend architectural, design and technical choices to internal and external audiences; train junior Software Development Engineers on internally developed software applications; and guide and mentor junior level engineers. Position is eligible for 100% remote work.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and seven (7) years of experience developing software for the SAP BRIM and SAP FICA platforms using ABAP programming language; working with SAP FICA convergent charging and convergent invoicing; implementing and configuring SAP Fiori user interfaces; of which five (5) years of experience include working with UI5 and SAP Personas UX technologies; of which three (3) years of experience include using SAFE Agile methodology
