Job description

As a Medicare Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with Medicare regulations and optimizing Medicare-related claims processing. This role requires in-depth knowledge of Medicare laws and guidelines, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. The Medicare Specialist will play a critical role in managing and processing Medicare-related claims, coordinating with various departments to resolve issues, and ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement.

What you’ll do

  • Ensure compliance with Medicare regulations and guidelines in all claims processing activities.
  • Analyze and manage Medicare-related claims to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, such as claims, legal, and finance, to resolve Medicare-related issues.
  • Communicate effectively with external stakeholders, including Medicare representatives and healthcare providers.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicare laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize Medicare reimbursement processes.
  • Prepare and submit reports on Medicare claims processing and compliance.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on Medicare-related matters.
  • Identify and address potential risks and compliance issues related to Medicare.
  • Collaborate with the other departments to ensure accurate data management and reporting for Medicare claims.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, finance, or law).
  • In-depth knowledge of Medicare laws and guidelines.
  • Experience in claims processing or a related field, preferably within the insurance industry.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and claims management software.
  • Certified Medicare Secondary Payer Professional (CMSP) designation is a plus.
