Overview
The Client Engagement and Solutions (CES) team is responsible for the supporting the management of non-financial risks associated with Deutsche Bank’s correspondent banking relationships. It assesses potential financial crime and reputational risks of these clients by conducting a holistic analysis of the risks they pose to Deutsche Bank. In this role, you will support the Business in monitoring and assessing their client bank's financial crime compliance program and considers any country-specific, reputational, and geopolitical / Politically Exposed Person risks of maintaining and opening correspondent banking relationships with such clients/prospects across the world.

What You’ll Do
Conduct client-specific or thematic correspondent banking reviews to gain an understanding of the client sector and jurisdiction risk (focus being the Americas)
Conduct preliminary analysis of the client bank’s risk profile; by investigating available key risk indicators and other sources of intelligence to determine potential financial risks/concerns that would warrant further review and/or client engagement
Conduct assessment of the client banks Financial Crime Compliance program and governance structure
Perform risk-based transaction analysis reviews and drafting assessment reports/memos
Provide risk mitigatory recommendations and presenting findings to the appropriate governance councils
How You’ll Lead
Close engagement with Global Head of the CES and Regional CES Team Leads, as well as the local and global business and Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) network
Leading onsite visits with the Business at our clients' offices or via conference calls
Supporting process optimization and ad hoc initiatives as required
Skills You’ll Need
Relevant experience in Financial Crime Compliance experience gained from working in a financial institution, with exposure to correspondent banking
A good understanding of local and / or international regulatory requirements related to AFC and compliance in various country’s banking sectors
Strong knowledge of the AFC control and governance framework implemented within banks including understanding of typical Anti-Money Laundering, Know Your Client, and Sanctions policy/program requirements (e.g. experience with Transactional Monitoring and Sanctions screening systems)
Strong knowledge of SWIFT network and the financial crime risks of processing correspondent bank payments
Due to client segment and nature of the role, proficiency in both spoken and written Spanish, Portuguese and/or French would be highly advantageous
Skills That Will Help You Excel
Experience working within a global team in a multinational organization with proven experience in senior stakeholder management engagement
High level of initiative, strong work ethic and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail, plus able to work independently to manage deliverables to timely completion
Able to build constructive partnerships with peers but also able to constructively challenge when required, including experience working with a global team in a multinational environment
Expectations
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $125,000 to $203,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
