About the team

At Careem, the mission for the NextGen Programme is to help grow our engineers by learning how to write Clean Code, use SOLID principle techniques, and design reliable systems. The ultimate goal is to train new engineers to build excellent foundations with high standards. Our Programme covers vast areas in engineering: Backend, Frontend, Web, Mobile, Data Analysis, MLOps, Infrastructure, Cyber Security and QA.

Software Engineers (I & II)

What You'll Do

Learn and work on our tech stacks: Java 8, Spring Boot, Micro-Service Architecture, SQL/No-SQL DBs, iOS/Android apps, web front-end, and AWS infrastructure.
Develop and enhance distributed backend systems to meet scalability and reliability needs.
Maintain features with a focus on quality, readability, and testing.
Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and designers to solve complex challenges.
Contribute as part of a cross-functional agile team.
Ensure high-quality and impactful code delivery

What You'll Need

We welcome fresh graduates and candidates with 2-4 years of experience who have:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields.
Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Design, data structures, and algorithms.
Skills to solve complex problems and write clean, maintainable code.

Data Analyst I & II

What You'll Do

Serve as the first point of contact for business data queries.
Develop, improve, and maintain reporting solutions using engineering best practices.
Translate business requirements into innovative data analysis solutions.
Convert complex data into clear tables, graphs, and reports for technical and non-technical audiences.
Define key metrics, gain subject matter expertise, and identify opportunities for business improvement.
Conduct regular data integrity audits.
Collect and analyze data from surveys, questionnaires, and market research to provide insights on consumers, competitors, and market conditions.

What You'll Need

We welcome fresh graduates and candidates with 2-4 years of experience who have:

Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, MicroStrategy, Looker) for dashboards.
Strong analytical skills with expertise in SQL and large datasets.
Knowledge of Python, R, Spark, Hive, and data lakes (preferred).
Process-oriented, logical thinker with attention to detail.
Self-starter with excellent communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work in complex operational environments.
Passion for learning new technologies and working on large-scale, impactful products.

MLOps Engineer

What you'll need

We welcome fresh graduates and candidates with 2-4 years of experience who have:

Strong knowledge of statistics, probability theory, calculus, linear algebra, and machine learning theory.
Proficiency in Python, SQL, algorithms, and data structures.
Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Hands-on experience in developing and deploying ML algorithms.
GitHub portfolio showcasing ML projects.
