Position Summary
Ski Butlers is owned by Denver based Alterra Mountain Company.
The Director of Marketing will work closely with the President, Head of Sales and Head of Revenue Management in developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to drive brand awareness, guest engagement, and revenue growth for Ski Butlers. This role will lead all marketing efforts for Ski Butlers 40+ resorts, including content creation and distribution, design, paid media campaigns, SEO, PR, agency relationships, and building and managing integrated marketing strategies. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record in leading successful marketing efforts, managing a suite of products, and optimizing marketing investments.
Ski Butlers is on a fast growth trajectory, with future expansion, new products/services and continued integration with our parent company and their resorts.
This role will be a part of Ski Butlers senior leadership team and will report directly to the President. This will be a cross-functional role, as you will work in tandem with our sales, revenue management, and operations teams to maximize revenue within the business resources and constraints.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership
- Work collaboratively with the President to develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with Ski Butlers short- and long-term goals and brand vision.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and guest feedback to inform marketing strategies and initiatives.
- Build relationships and trust with our Senior Leadership Team, General Managers, and Alterra Mountain Company.
- Monitor marketing campaign performance and provide regular reports to business unit leaders, highlighting key insights and recommending improvements for future campaigns.
- Collaborate with Alterra Mountain Company headquarters and with Alterra Resorts marketing teams to align on broader company objectives and resort-specific marketing efforts.
- Project Management: Lead and manage all traditional marketing projects and provide oversight on integrated marketing campaigns within the marketing department, ensuring timely execution, adherence to deadlines, and successful outcomes.
- Support the President in various projects as assigned.
Paid Media Management
- Collaborate with analytics team and agencies to develop and oversee paid media campaigns, including digital advertising, social media, search engine marketing, and traditional media.
- Collaborate with analytics team to understand customer habits, trends, market and product preferences, etc., to optimize targeted emails, programmatic ads and social messaging.
- Optimize media spend to maximize ROI and achieve marketing objectives.
- Analyze campaign performance and adjust strategies to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Ensure content is on brand and being shown to the right guest personas based on funnel and target strategy.
Integrated Marketing Campaigns
- Oversee the creation and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, guest engagement, and revenue growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and effective campaign execution.
- Oversee the creation of compelling marketing content, including copy, visuals, videos, and other multimedia assets.
Brand Management
- Ensure consistency and alignment of all marketing efforts with Ski Butlers brand identity and messaging.
- Develop and maintain brand guidelines and standards across all marketing channels and touchpoints.
- Monitor and protect Ski Butlers brand reputation through proactive and reactive marketing efforts.
- Manage brand research projects to gain insights into market trends, customer preferences, and brand perception.
- Lead all design efforts for our uniforms, SWAG, sales collateral and partnerships.
Budget Management
- Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve marketing objectives.
- Track and report on budget performance, adjusting as necessary to optimize spending and ROI.
- Assists in annual revenue budget process and strategic marketing plan to reach revenue targets.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience leading marketing teams and managing integrated marketing campaigns.
- Strong expertise in managing paid media campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
- Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in marketing technologies and tools, including analytics platforms, CRM systems, and digital marketing tools.
- Experience in the hospitality, tourism, or ski industry is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Availability to travel to domestic and international media events, meetings, conferences, and trade shows.
- Intermediate or above skiing ability a plus.
- Design experience including Adobe, Canva and/or other design software's a plus.
Travel Requirements
- Intermittent travel may be required for this position in the U.S. and Canada.
- Valid Passport required.
