Job purpose, tasks and responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

Market research, including speaking directly to Chief Compliance Officers from Fortune 500 companies, to determine the hot topics and the best speakers.
Designing and delivering industry leading conference programmes in the US and Europe.
Inviting speakers and evolving the conference programmes to ensure they are highly compelling and ensure commercial success.
Working with the sales and marketing teams to identify sponsors and delegate targets.
Producing marketing and communications materials, including the event websites.
Attending Compliance Week events in the US and Europe to ensure events are delivered to a high standard.
Support the editorial team and the Editor in Chief in organising interviews and identifying stories.

What is the best thing about this role? You will be speaking to C-suite level individuals from a wide variety of sectors, such as financial compliance and ESG, which really allows you to build your network. You'll be designing and delivering conferences for a premier GRC source with an established place in the conference community.

What is the most challenging thing about this role? As these conferences are market-leading and delivered to high-level delegates, the execution and research ahead of these events needs to be flawless. Compliance Week has a reputation of delivering high-quality to delegates which needs to be upheld, so you need thorough B2B conference development and delivery experience, backed by market analysis.

Essential and desirable capabilities:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

Experience designing and delivering industry-leading conferences in the US and Europe.
Demonstrable experience of conducting market analysis to assess the viability of events and market needs.
Experience producing compelling marketing and communication materials.
Experience of identifying potential delegates, sponsorship opportunities and speakers through market research.

It would be great if you also have:

Demonstrable understanding of; GRC, Law, Finance, Data Protection, ESG, Sanctions, AML and Financial Crime.
