Overview:
THE ROLE:
The Oracle Fusion Program Senior Director will be a seasoned Oracle Implementation Program Lead with at least 12 years’ experience leading complex Oracle implementation initiatives. The Oracle Fusion Program Senior Director will play a key leadership role in helping to shape and modernize the Herbalife Oracle Cloud footprint and will work closely with senior GBS, GDTS, Finance, HR, Manufacturing and Operations leadership in defining the strategic roadmap. This position will have overall responsibility for guiding the implementation of Oracle Fusion applications at Herbalife, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and driving transformation initiatives.
HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:
• Strategic Planning and Leadership
o Define Project Scope and Objectives: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements and align Oracle Fusion solutions with organizational goals.
o Roadmap Development: Create and manage a strategic roadmap for Oracle Fusion implementation and transformation efforts.
o Change Management: Develop and execute change management strategies to support adoption and minimize resistance.
• Project Management
o Implementation Oversight: Lead the end-to-end implementation process, ensuring on-time delivery within scope and budget.
o Resource Allocation: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, assigning roles and responsibilities to achieve project milestones.
o Risk Management: Identify potential risks, create mitigation plans, and ensure compliance with project governance standards.
• Solution Design and Architecture
o Fit-Gap Analysis: Conduct workshops to evaluate existing systems and identify gaps where Oracle Fusion can bring value.
o Best Practices: Ensure the solution design adheres to Oracle-recommended best practices and industry standards.
o Integration Strategy: Plan and oversee integrations between Oracle Fusion and other enterprise systems.
• Stakeholder Engagement
o Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication and reporting.
o Training and Support: Develop training programs and support structures to equip users with the knowledge to utilize Oracle Fusion effectively.
• Continuous Improvement
o Post-Implementation Optimization: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and refine business processes post-implementation.
o Performance Monitoring: Track the system’s performance and ensure it meets the organization’s evolving needs.
• Technical Oversight
o Data Migration: Guide the data migration process to ensure accuracy and integrity.
o Customization and Configuration: Oversee configurations to tailor Oracle Fusion modules to business requirements.
• Team Collaboration
o Coordination with Oracle Partners: Work closely with Oracle and consulting partners to ensure successful implementation.
o Mentorship: Provide guidance to team members and help foster the development of their expertise in Oracle Fusion.
• Other factors and considerations:
o The Oracle Fusion Transformation will be a “business led” initiative, but the IT and business will contribute resources to accomplish the project.
o The Sr. Director, Oracle Fusion Transformation has primary responsibility for oversight of the Oracle Fusion Transformation project delivery and is tasked to work with vendor resources hired for the project along with business and IT resources assigned to complete the project on time and within budget.
o The Sr. Director, Oracle Fusion Transformation will mostly work in a high matrix organizational structure managing the resources loaned to the project by the business and IT teams along with the vendor resources.
o Change requests that could affect scope, cost, or timeline will be documented and escalated to business leaders for approval or rejection. Business leaders will be responsible to make project decisions that impact the business operations facilitated by the SR. DIRECTOR, Oracle Fusion Transformation.
o Any issues with the delivery of resources loaned to the project will be addressed to the leader of the domain by the Sr. Director, Oracle Fusion Transformation. The Domain Leader will be responsible to address the issue with the individual contributor and resolve in the manner they see fit.
o Expected meetings that will be hosted by the Sr. Director, Oracle Fusion Transformation include but are not limited to the following:
o PMO Meetings – core project leadership team meetings multiple times per week to discuss strategy, planning, risk and issues.
o Weekly project status meeting – to include leaders overseeing the day-to-day activities across all tracks of the project including business, IT, and vendor personnel. The output from this meeting should be a status report showing the status of all tracks of the project.
o Executive sponsors – higher level, less frequent summary briefing to VP level sponsors on the status of the project.
o Risk/issue working meetings as needed with project team.
o Decision Meetings attended by business and/or technology leaders to make decisions in instances where there are conflicting points of view.
o Project “town halls” to facilitate broader communication to the orgs affected by the project.
o The Oracle Fusion Transformation Lead will undertake the following key project management activities.
o Develop dashboards and templates for reporting status that highlight overall status (red, yellow, green), summary, risk/issues, accomplishments, planned work in the near horizon.
o Implement project management and collaboration tools.
o Institute change management processes, procedures, templates, and forms to control scope and budget.
WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT THE TEAM:
Herbalife is embarking upon on a multi-year digital transformation journey to modernize the technology platform and migrate current on-premises ERP solutions and business processes to Oracle Fusion Cloud. The scope of this initiative will include Oracle Financials, Supply Chain Management, Agile, Order Management, Fulfillment, Inventory, Procurement and Manufacturing. Coupled with this initiative Herbalife will simplify the application architecture and re-engineer back-office business processes.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: (Share supervisory duties, if applicable)
• A minimum of 4-5 direct reports in addition to indirect/matrix reporting responsibilities.
Qualifications:
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
• Minimum 12 plus years’ experience leading large scale global complex ERP transformation projects including migration from Oracle R12 to Oracle Fusion Cloud.
• Experience in planning multi year strategic initiatives and scoping Project Charter.
• In-depth knowledge of System Development Lifecycle best practices and techniques.
• Expert knowledge in architecting Oracle Fusion Cloud solutions, beneficial to have hands on experience with ERP and SCM applications.
• Proven experience leading cross functional teams.
• Effective communication skills across all levels including C Suite.
• Ability to engage and influence process owners and key stakeholders.
Education
• Bachelors degree in Information Technology; Computer Science or other relevant subject.
• Project Management Qualification such as PMP preferable.
