Job description

 

The Role:

We’re looking out for a Deputy Social Media Director to join our Social Media team on a full-time permanent basis.

 

As the Deputy Social Media Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of a comprehensive social media strategy to increase reach and engagement across all digital platforms for our portfolio of radio brands. The role will also drive understanding about the role of social and video within the business.

 

You will support the team in leading the strategy, execution, and management of all editorial social media activities across all our radio brands, with specific focus on our Music and Lifestyle brands (Magic, Greatest Hits Radio, Absolute Radio and Planet Rock).

This is a hybrid position where you will work from home and our office in London

 

Role Responsibilities:
·    Leading the Social Video strategy in alignment with Bauer’s goals to boost awareness, engagement, and audience growth.
·    Overseeing content creation, curation, and distribution across social platforms, ensuring relevance and creativity.
·    Managing high-impact social media campaigns, using data-driven insights to optimize engagement and growth. 
·    Ensuring consistent brand presence across all platforms, adhering to brand guidelines.
·    Supporting and developing the Music and Lifestyle brand Social Media Leads, fostering a creative and productive team culture with clear KPIs. 
·    Tracking and analysing social media performance, providing actionable insights to enhance ROI. 
·    Collaborating with content, marketing, and commercial teams for a cohesive social media approach. 
·    Overseeing crisis communication and budget management, staying updated on trends and new opportunities.

 

Skills & Experience:
·    A solid amount of strategic social media management experience at Senior Manager or Associate Director level.
·    Relevant professional experience in leading social media campaigns.
·    Proven track record of managing, nurturing and developing team members
·    Experience delivering integrated social media projects, ideally with broadcast media output.
·    Familiarity with new and emerging technologies for social media content creation.
·    Advanced communication skills: oral, written and active listening (including senior leadership presentations/meetings).
·    Analytical thinking and ability to translate data, social trends, and audience insights into digital first creative ideas. 
·    Strong project management and problem-solving skills. 
·    Solution-focused and adaptable when facing changes.
