Summary
Leads C-store East team of Category Managers responsibility for driving category growth initiatives within North and South Geo C-store customers (Mclane, Hackney, Rutters, Royal Farms, Global, Refuel, Spinx, QuickChek, Gate, Enmarket, + others) Establishes the Category Management team as the indispensable consultative partner to the external customer and to internal Hershey Company.
•Develop a team of experts in the pervasive application of insights to drive category growth
•Streamline tactical work to deliver customer strategy
•Strengthen analytical skills and integration of shopper insights of Category Management team
Responsibilities
• Achieves sales and performance metric targets for assigned customers by managing and coaching a team. Facilitate communication and action between the Category Management team(s) and the Sales team(s). Communicate program feedback to the home office.
• Develops the analytical frameworks by which the Category Management team helps retail partners drive Category growth strategies
• Partner with ReSet team on Paypoints, Seasons, Center Store and Omni by leveraging best in class capabilities and insights to advance Category Initiatives
• Leverage GCIC, MCIC, HIN to support selling in strategic initiatives
• Manage business by understanding and coaching: Syndicated and panel data analysis, factory sales (SAP), the sales planning process, development of quantitatively supported best demonstrated sales practices
• Utilize the performance management process to coach and develop team members throughout the year, through the effective use of the performance appraisal process and performance records.
• Synthesize business trends, competitive trends, shopper insights, financial insights, to identify opportunities and develop solutions to drive category growth across total store.
• Travel Requirement: 40-50%

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree Required; MBA preferred
Experience: Minimum 6 years’ experience; typically 8+ years progressive professional experience with: 3+ yrs Consumer product sales & strong analytical experience
