Overview: xScion is seeking a qualified Scrum Master to join our team.
As a Scrum Master, You Will:
- Direct the work of project teams in support of large and highly complex data modernization projects
- Enable the team to work as effectively as possible
- Assist in removing bottlenecks and issues that slow down the team`s progress, while guiding the team to improve their processes and practices
- Possess highly specialized knowledge in one or more specific technologies
- Be able to work under minimal supervision
- Leads and directs the work of others
- Collaborate with Technical Lead and Product Strategist to break down project needs into stories and tasks, which can be added to sprint backlog
- Facilitate creation of project delivery roadmap
- Drive the team to high performing levels by creating a healthy Agile environment to ensure project goals are completed on time, within budget and with optimum quality
- Assess the scrum team`s velocity for the upcoming sprint and tracks the sprint health
- Serve as a thought leader and incorporates broader knowledge of business strategies into Agile project management
- Partner with development and support providers to coordinate application testing, including selection of testing environment, investigation of testing issues, and approval of code deployments
- Schedule and facilitate meetings for the team, including sprint backlog grooming, release planning, sprint planning and daily stand ups/huddles
- Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution by encouraging transparency and building trust among
team members
- Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to
required standards and processes
- Ensure ongoing use of and adherence to policies and practices, including established Agile project management
methodologies and Technology Project Standards
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining
personal networks and participating in professional organizations
- Maintain familiarity with technology management best practices and IT development approaches industry-wide
To Be Successful, You Need:
- Bachelor's degree in related technical field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years of direct work related experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate project and risk management skills including ability to manage multiple priorities, resources, customers and management with a focus on consistency and accuracy
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or similar Scaled Agile environment
- Self-motivated with excellent teamwork skills
- Ability to think independently, make decisions and perform objective analyses
- Possess and applies broad and specific knowledge of principles, practices and procedures in the field of specialization to the completion of assignments
- Ability to explain and present complex topics to senior level stakeholders
- Flexibility to handle fast changing conditions
- Certification in Agile methodologies (i.e., PMI-ACP, CSM, CSP, SA, SSM) or equivalent knowledge
- US Citizenship required
