Job Summary: Endeavor Business Media is looking for a digital editor to support its aviation brands – Airport Business, Aircraft Maintenance Technology, Ground Support Worldwide, and Aviationpros.com. The digital editor will work in collaboration with brand editorial and digital audience development leadership, position and distribute content for maximum impact to grow audience, engagement and conversion activity; execute strategic growth initiatives as directed by the brand publisher, editorial leadership and executive team, as well as initiate new ideas.

The right candidate will be a quick learner, talented and concise writer/editor, exceptional multi-tasker, savvy social media strategist, and detail-oriented/deadline-driven individual. This position provides an extraordinary opportunity for someone to learn the ins and outs of every aspect of the trade publishing business from writing, editing, design, and production to social media, multi-media, web analytics, reader engagement, and project management.


Essential Job Function:

  • Write/generate content for the group’s newsletters, photo galleries, website, and Ground Support Worldwide magazine
  • Manage social media accounts
  • Produce e-newsletters for Airport Business, AMT, Ground Support Worldwide brands
  • Assist with basic video and podcast editing
  • Oversee production for Ground Support Worldwide print issues and newsletters for Aviation Business, Aircraft Maintenance Technology and Ground Support Worldwide
  • Edit and proofread
  • Participate in brand meetings and provide site traffic data, as well as performance metrics on podcasts, video series, and social media
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to brainstorm new ideas, execute special projects, and hit goals


Core Competencies:

  • General interest and curiosity about the aviation business
  • Superior writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Strong multi-tasker with the ability to juggle multiple projects and their deadlines
  • Adept at social media
  • Proficiency in search engine optimization
  • Experience with content management systems and website analytics tools
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability and willingness to work well as a team and individually
  • Aptitude for understanding technical information and applying that knowledge to write/edit content accurately for presentation on the web, in newsletters, and in print


Qualifications:

  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Training in AP style
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite including Audition, and Premiere Pro preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism (preferable), English, communications, or related area
  • 3-5 years of experience writing and editing content for an online or print publication as well as social media, basic video and audio editing, and web content management experience


There is a possibility of travel for this position, under 10% of the time.


We are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $40,000 - $50,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed.


If you are hired for this position at Endeavor, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as hiring location, skillset, prior years’ experience, relevant education, certain degrees and certifications, training, and market considerations. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider any internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future & continued salary growth.
