Overview

The SAP ABAP BRF+ Developer plays a critical role in the implementation and maintenance of Business Rules Framework (BRF+) applications within the SAP environment. This position requires a combination of strong development skills in ABAP and a thorough understanding of BRF+ functionalities. The individual is responsible for translating complex business requirements into efficient, scalable solutions that align with the organization's goals and objectives. As a key member of the SAP development team, the SAP ABAP BRF+ Developer collaborates with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy sophisticated rule-based applications. The role also involves optimizing existing processes, ensuring data integrity, and enhancing the overall functionality of the SAP systems. The successful candidate will contribute to the implementation of best practices, provide technical support, and help drive the adoption of BRF+ technologies throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement complex business rules using SAP BRF+.
Design and maintain ABAP programs and enhancements.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather functional requirements.
Translate business needs into technical specifications for BRF+ solutions.
Optimize BRF+ workflows and ensure adherence to best practices.
Conduct unit testing and validation of rule-based applications.
Perform code reviews and maintain documentation for ABAP developments.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues within BRF+ and ABAP programs.
Integrate BRF+ with other SAP modules and third-party applications.
Support and facilitate user training sessions on BRF+ functionalities.
Participate in system upgrades and enhancements as needed.
Monitor performance and proactively recommend improvements.
Maintain knowledge of industry trends and SAP advancements.
Collaborate with BASIS and security teams to ensure compliance.
Provide technical support during project implementations and go-live activities.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in ABAP programming.
Strong knowledge of SAP BRF+ functionalities and configuration.
Experience with data modeling and complex data structures.
Proficiency in SQL and database management.
Previous experience in SAP module integration.
Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to read and understand technical documentation.
Experience with testing methodologies and documentation processes.
Familiarity with SAP methodologies and project lifecycle.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
Certifications in SAP ABAP, BRF+, or related areas are preferred.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
